Weblock for Kids

Weblock for kids is an application for parents or teachers to help protect their kids online. It allows browsing only to pre-approved pages. The application also allows customisation of components to suit the kids' age. For example, you can insert lively animated wallpapers on your browser, customise the colours and set access time limit per day for your kids etc.

Weblock for kids is compatible with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008. You can download it here.

On the main interface, you are provided with the following functions:

1. Add Website:

With this function it allows the parent to add websites allowed for their kids. With each website added, you need to insert s thumbnail image so every website can be easily recognized. You can choose the thumbnails directly from the application or through your locally stores photos or a web URL.

 

2. Manage website:

With this function, you will be able to manage all of the added websites. You can also add and remove one or all of the websites.

 

3. Preferences:

It is where you set the properties for the application. Here you can change the application's background and fonts, set up users, passwords and time limit etc.

 

After the set up, you click on the Enter Kid Mode button to switch to the interface for kids. And this interface has only the function buttons of a browser such as Back, Forward, Home and Exit.

 

Instead of using a firewall applications and standard browser (which may look complicated) to manage your kids' Internet access, you can use Weblock for kids which contains all the necessary features for you to do that.
